Agnes Lidbeck is one of the most prominent and versatile contemporary Swedish writers of today. Since making her literary debut in 2017, she has become an indispensable voice in Swedish literature, as an author, as well as playwright, essayist, columnist and frequent guest on cultural radio and television shows.
Her debut novel Supporting Act (2017), a controversial and haunting study of women’s predetermined roles and a case study of ‘toxic femininity’, made a tremendous impression on the Swedish critics and readers alike. Since then she has published four additional novels, one poetry collection and made a great success on stage with her play Köket är hemmets hjärta (2023/2024) at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern. Her most recent novel published was the novel All My Love (2023) commenting on society’s shift towards right-winged politics and nationalism through the delicate portrait of a middle-class family.
BLYANT Agency has proudly contributed with editorial work for many of Lidbeck’s works.
